The German state of Brandenburg lies in the eastern part of Germany. It completely surrounds, but does not include Berlin in its landmass. Brandenburg offers beautiful countryside as well as stunning rivers. For travelers wanting to stay in this eastern German state, many hotel options exist. From hotels that cater to the business traveler to inexpensive boarding houses to accommodations on the Beetzsee Lake, visitors to Brandenburg are sure to find something that fits all budgets.

Business Traveler

For the business traveler visiting Brandenburg, the SORAT Hotels are a good option. Hotel rooms at the SORAT Brandenburg come equipped with air conditioning, wireless Internet connection, phone, fax and a plug for your personal computer, and a TV, mini bar and shower. The hotel also offers two rooms with wheelchair access and two apartments. The rooms overlooking the hotel's garden are not far from the old part of town. Frequent visitors to Germany can get Bed and Bonus points at any of the SORAT's locations around Germany. Room prices range between 98 and 141 euros depending on the package as of 2009.

Traditional German Boarding House

The Pension St. Gotthardt lies in the heart of the old city of Brandenburg. Visitors need only to walk a few short minutes to find nearby boat tours, a monastery, a swimming pool and other city amenities. The hotel is small---only 11 rooms with a total of 22 beds. The rooms come with a shower and a TV. The hotel also provides breakfast in the breakfast room from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Prices for 2009 range from 45 to 65 euros. The price includes breakfast and taxes.

Family Inn

Kurth's Landgasthause is a family-run inn that's been around since 1912. The Inn is located on the edge of the Beetzsee Lake and is surrounded by forests and countryside. Visitors don't need to venture far for meals, either. Kurth's offers both a butcher shop where guests can purchase sausages and other delicacies. There is also a restaurant and beer garden. Activities in the area include boating on the lake and taking rides in a horse-drawn carriage. Groups are welcome at the inn. Room prices for 2009 run from 50 to 60 euros.

Family Friendly

For families traveling to eastern Germany, the Park Hotel Seehof provides guests with a slew of amenities. Guests enjoy fresh roasted coffee and bread in the mornings and have direct access to Beetzsee Lake. They can also dine in the hotel's restaurant, which provides regional specialties; enjoy drinks at the bar and relax in the sauna. There's free parking for guests and space for groups to hold meetings. Room sizes range from single rooms to family occupancy. Prices run from 77 to 117 euros. A junior suite is also available for about 180 euros. (Prices current in 2009.)
