Carvers Steaks and Seafood opened in October 2009, adding a fine-dining steakhouse to the town of Sandy. Wash it down with a specialty cocktail or an aromatic glass of wine, and end your meal with a rich chocolate torte accompanied by a raspberry sauce. Call for reservations.

Tiburon Fine Dining

Tiburon Fine Dining is often considered the locals' favorite secret. This restaurant, tucked away in what used to be a fruit stand, serves dinner only after 5 p.m. every day. During the summer, enjoy the first-rate customer service on the patio or seated inside, surrounded by charming, yet rustic decor. Favorite items from the menu include New Zealand char-grilled elk, filet mignon served with roasted shallots, and seared Ahi tuna with a side of pineapple rice. Shallow Shaft Restaurant

The Shallow Shaft Restaurant is nestled in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range. After a full day of adventures, relax with a bottle of wine from the extensive wine list. Match the wine to a savory piece of Angus rib-eye, a confit leg of duck, or a double-cut pork chop, and your stomach will assuredly be content. The restaurant uses all locally grown and organic ingredients and will cater to vegans and vegetarians upon request. The Shallow Shaft is open only during the winter; call for hours and reservations.
