Casinos in Wendover, Utah

Wendover, Utah, also known as East Wendover, is located on the Utah/Nevada border. It is connected to West Wendover, Nevada, and the cities are essentially one, sharing a number of public services such as schools and a police department. While gambling is illegal throughout Utah, access to various casinos and gambling venues lies just over the border, on the western side of town. The casinos are technically on Nevada land but within the limits of a city, half of which is located in Utah.

Resorts at Wendover

The Resorts at Wendover are a set of three incorporated casinos: Rainbow Casino Hotel, Peppermill Casino Hotel, and Montego Bay Casino & Resort. As their names imply, each casino offers lodging; the rooms at the Rainbow and Peppermill are comparably sized and priced, while the Montego Bay's rooms tend to be much larger and more expensive. Each casino has a wide array of electronic slot and poker machines---more than 900 in each. The table games at each casino include three-card poker, blackjack, roulette, craps, Let It Ride and pai gow poker. The Montego Bay and Rainbow have large poker rooms that regularly host tournaments, and the Peppermill offers keno. All three casinos have off-track race and sports booking. There are multiple restaurants and bars at each casino, and fine dining is offered at the Montego Bay. As far as extra amenities, the Rainbow Hotel has an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, while the Montego Bay Resort has an outdoor pool and multiple Jacuzzis, including rooms with built-in Jacuzzis. The Peppermill has a concert hall with regularly scheduled live performances, and the Montego Bay Resort has a workout facility and full-service spa and salon.

Red Garter

The Red Garter Hotel & Casino is a nice, cozy casino/hotel located in the middle of town. The hotel has more than 100 single and double suites, including some with hot tubs. There is one on-site restaurant, The Garden Room, which is primarily a buffet. There are just more than 300 electronic slot and poker machines in the casino portion, with a small selection of table games such as blackjack, craps, roulette and three-card poker. There is also race and sports betting available.

Wendover Nugget

The Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino is one of the largest casino/hotels in West Wendover. There are more than 500 large rooms in the hotel, including Jacuzzi and luxury suites as well as an outdoor hot tub and giant swimming pool. The Nugget offers multiple dining options, including a steakhouse, buffet, café, taco/ice cream stand and a Starbucks. There are four bar areas. There are more than 800 electronic gaming machines. The table games include blackjack, roulette, royal match, craps, three-card poker and pai gow poker. There is also a nine-table poker room, race/sports book and keno lounge.
