Charleston, West VA Hotels
Charleston, West Virginia is the capital of and largest city in the state, with a metropolitan population of just over 300,000, according to the most recent U.S. census. Due to a richness of natural resources, the city's early years centered around industrial growth. However, nearby attractions such as the Kanawha State Forest, a large public park with picnic areas, a pool, camping sites and numerous biking and walking trails have attracted more discerning travelers with a taste for the outdoors. And to accommodate this increase in tourism, many comfortable, well-appointed hotels have emerged in the area.
