Ardmore, Pennsylvania, is a town on the Main Line near Philadelphia. Although Ardmore is a fairly small town, there are many delicious restaurants for you to enjoy. One popular restaurant is the Indian cuisine of Khajuraho. Khajuraho is the only Indian restaurant in Ardmore as of 2009. But if you're willing to venture out to a nearby town or take the train into Philadelphia, your Indian food options will increase.

Khajuraho

Khajuraho rests in a strip mall off of Ardmore's main drag of Lancaster Avenue. Inside, the decor consists of erotic Indian art. The menu consists of many Indian staples such as lamb saagwala, chicken jalfreizi and shrimp vindaloo. In addition to entrees, Khajuraho has many classic Indian breads such as naan and roti. Khajuraho is open for lunch and dinner every day.

Saffron Indian Kitchen

Although Ardmore only has one Indian restaurant, the nearby town of Bala Cynwyd has an Indian restaurant in Saffron Indian Kitchen. Saffron is open every day. Like Khajuraho, Saffron has many classic Indian dishes. Although not as highly regarded as Khajuraho, Saffron still serves up its share of tasty treats.

Philadelphia

To truly capitalize on Indian cuisine options during your Ardmore stay, consider going into Philadelphia. Popular Indian restaurants in Philly include Karma Fine Indian Cuisine, Tandoor India Restaurant and New Delhi Indian Restaurant. Tandoor specializes in Northern and Southern Indian cuisine; New Delhi has an excellent lunch and dinner buffet; Karma offers more upscale dining.
