The Old Homestead Restaurant

Just like almost everything else in New England, The Old Homestead Restaurant has a long history and is overflowing with hospitality. Unlike most other restaurants, however, The Old Homestead Restaurant doesn't actually have a written menu. Instead, the staff explains the specials and recites the menu from memory. This helps create a relationship between the restaurant staff and clientele. The Homestead Restaurant has a superb ribeye steak, but it is well known for its famous homemade desserts, like the delicious banana cream pie. Once you're done with the slopes at Holiday Mountain Ski Area, make sure you come in for a warm and hearty meal at The Old Homestead Restaurant

The Wet Noodle

The Wet Noodle might not look like anything at all from the outside and if you're just driving by, you'd probably miss it. Sure, it is a small restaurant, but it serves some of the best pizza in Monticello. When you come into The Wet Noodle, make sure that you ask for the Buffalo Chicken Specialty Pizza. Or, you might try another specialty, like the Chicken Cheddar Bacon Pie. Nothing will relax you more after a long day canoeing at one of the lakes near Monticello like a warm pizza pie.
