Story Inn
Somewhat off the beaten path, Story Inn is located 13 miles south of Nashville in a town that is reminiscent of the early 1900s. In it's heyday, Story boasted two general stores, a sawmill, post office and blacksmith shop. The Great Depression caused an exodus of people from the tiny community who migrated elsewhere seeking work. The structure of the buildings in Story have remained virtually unchanged since the 1930s, which makes this town very popular as a getaway. One of the general stores is now a gourmet restaurant with a pub located in the basement. The former mill as well as several historic homes contain the rooms of the Inn.
