The area of Seneca Rocks is most famous for the visually striking crags that rise nearly 900 feet above the confluence of Seneca Creek and the North Fork of the South Branch Potomac River. Each year outdoor enthusiasts in search of adventure visit this region to go climbing, white-water rafting, hiking and spelunking. Travelers can find a number of cottages set amidst the scenic areas of West Virginia.

Harman's North Fork Cottages

Harman's North Fork Cottages are open year-round and feature 20 furnished cabins located less than 300 feet from the North Fork River and 12 miles from Seneca Rocks climbing area. All cabins include a rock fireplace, Jacuzzi or private outdoor hot tub, DSS Satellite TV, charcoal grill, air conditioning, full kitchen, Wi-Fi, necessary linens and views of the adjacent Dolly Sods Wilderness area. Travelers who want to bring their pet may reserve cabin 19, the only pet-friendly cabin on the property.

Appalachian Cabins

Offering cabin rentals year round, Appalachian Cabins is three miles from climbing routes located in Seneca Rocks. Hiking enthusiasts may step outside their front door and spend the day hiking the 24-mile trail located along North Fork Mountain. Guests may choose from family cabins with a full kitchen, working fireplace, air conditioning, DISH network, hot tub and a pet friendly environment. Travelers seeking a more intimate cabin may enjoy the on-site honeymoon cabins, which include the same amenities plus a spacious king size in-room Jacuzzi tub.

Germany Valley Overlook Cabins

Featuring secluded cabins located on North Mountain, Germany Valley Overlook Cabins offers panoramic views of Spruce Knob, Dolly Sods Wilderness and the eastern slopes of the Allegheny Mountains. Germany Valley Overlook is a 30-minute drive to spelunking opportunities at Seneca Caverns and white water rafting on the South Fork Potomac River. The traditional log cabins are equipped with full kitchens, electric heat, wood stoves, charcoal grills, fire pit with axe, towels, linens, TV with VCR and additional sleeper sofas. Open year-round, the three cabins sleep anywhere from six to 10 people.
