Strange Restaurant Attractions in Niagara Falls

Strange Restaurant Attractions in Niagara Falls
Exploring the Cave of the Winds, hiking through Niagara Falls State Park or viewing the beautiful, watery curtain that separates New York and Ontario can make anyone work up an appetite. For those border hoppers who wish to travel off the beaten (boring) path, the Niagara Falls area offers some rather unusual restaurant choices.

Star Trekking through Canada

The Flying Saucer is a restaurant for those classic "sci-fi"movie fanatics. Shaped like two 1950s spaceships, the Flying Saucer features a drive-in, decent prices, a full bar and spacey decor. In addition to space food like the Jupiter Burger and the Star Dust Medley Stir Fries, the Flying Saucer has another offer. The owner, Henry Di Cienzo, is offering a $1 million reward to anyone who can bring him an actual UFO or UFO pieces. All supposed UFOs will be subject to scientific analysis before any award is given (unless it is confirmed personally by the craft's former alien owner).

Oh Canada, Eh?

Ever see a singing mountie? At the Oh Canada, Eh? dinner show, you can have a Canadian meal while being serenading by musical lumberjacks, fur trappers and hockey players. The show is the longest-running musical in Canada, featuring songs from famous Canadian artists like Shania Twain, Paul Anka, Joni Mitchell and The Guess Who. In this rustic log cabin setting, you can enjoy a meal of French Canadian pea soup, Alberta Grade Roast Beef and Maple Chocolate Mania Cake. The meal is served by the performers, including Anne of Green Gables, Klondike Kitty and other Canadian favorites. The show is full of patriotism and will make you proud to be visiting the Great White North.

Skylon Tower's Revolving Restaurant

In the Skylon Tower, you can revolve 775 feet above Niagara Falls while eating delicious continental cuisine. Ride the "yellow bug" observation elevators up to the restaurant. It silently revolves at 360 degrees an hour in view of the roaring water. Gaze at the city lights below or catch the fall fireworks from this dazzling Niagara Falls viewpoint. The Skylon Tower also hosts Niagara Fall's largest family entertainment center as well as a food court and shopping center. Check out the tower's 3D/4D movie theater, where you can watch "Legends of Niagara Falls" and learn about the fall's formation and the Native American legends it has inspired.

Frankenburger

It is always Halloween at the Niagara Falls Burger King. It was built next door to the House of Frankenstein, a local haunted house, maze and museum. In the spirit of things, this American favorite constructed a giant looming, Whopper-loving Frankenstein on the roof. Monster mash down on your favorite burger at this local attraction.
