With a wide variety of cultural activities such as the Civil War re-enactment, annual Shakespeare festival and symphony concerts, there is an abundance of activities to enjoy in Jackson. Many visitors to the plethora of activities look to Jackson's many bars and pubs for refreshment and a respite from a busy day.

The Roadhouse

The Roadhouse is a rollicking bar and pub with live music on the weekends, including Saturday night karaoke. Offering a full bar and full menu, the Roadhouse is the perfect answer to a busy activity-filled day. Located immediately adjacent to the town center, daily authentic Mexican specialties are featured on the menu and Friday nights offer a prime rib dinner special and all-you-can-eat fish fry. Free Wi-Fi access also is available. Hours of operation are 11 to 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Veach's Office Bar

Veach's Office Bar offers nightly entertainment daily. It offers keno, trivia games, Internet jukebox and free Wi-Fi access. Live bands provide entertainment on Saturday evenings and the menu features burgers, soups, sandwiches and appetizers. It offers a full bar with domestic and imported beers on tap. Parking is available in the front and back of the bar, and Veach's is open seven days a week.

Pine Tree Tavern

The Pine Tree Tavern is open daily from noon to 2 a.m. It is a small local tavern that offers poker tournaments for local charity organizations, adding $100 to the pot every Thursday. Draft beer is available, along with a full bar. Daily lunch specials are from noon to 3 p.m.

Beach Bar

Located adjacent to Jackson, the Beach Bar tavern in Clark Lake offers a menu featuring sandwiches, soups and pizzas, all handmade from scratch. A full take-out menu also is available. A full-service bar is available with domestic and foreign beers on tap. Clark Lake has been known for summertime fun since the mid-1800s, and today is no different. In the 1930s and 1940s, the Beach Bar was well known for being a dance spot for dancing under the stars. Although the dance stage was torn down, dancing is still known as a regular event at the Beach Bar. Beach Bar is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until Memorial Day 2010.
