Northside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Hotels
The Northside neighborhood in Pittsburgh is the home of sports venues and museums. The Steelers and Pirates play their home games at Heinz Field and PNC Park, respectively. Museum enthusiasts can spend time at the Andy Warhol, Children's, and Mattress Factory Museums.

The 21-mile Three Rivers Heritage Trail is nearby and runs along both sides of the Allegheny, Ohio, and Monongahela Rivers. It is frequented by bikers, roller bladders, and urban hikers. Kayak Pittsburgh offers flat water kayak rentals on Lake Elizabeth in Allegheny Commons Park and under the Clemente Bridge on the Allegheny River.

The Priory Hotel

Hotels.com names the Priory Hotel as one of its "Top 10 Hidden Gems." The European-style building is a former rectory. The Priory's Italian architecture has been restored and now is a 24-room hotel. On the property is the Grand Hall, a former church turned luxury banquet and meeting hall. The Priory offers complimentary breakfast, parking, and weekday shuttle.

SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh North Shore

SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh North Shore is located adjacent to PNC Park and is a short walk from Heinz Field. The 198-room SpringHill Suites was built in 2005. The hotel offers complimentary parking and breakfast and has the SoHo casual dining restaurant on its premises.

The Inn on the Mexican War Streets

Across from West Park on North Avenue is the Inn on the Mexican War Streets. The eight-room inn is the restored mansion of Russell H. Boggs, a Pittsburgh department store entrepreneur. Each room captures the character from the architectural character of the 1888-built stone mansion. The Inn on the Mexican War Streets has a restaurant and bar available for private parties.

Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Mcknight Rd.

On the outer edge of the Northside is the Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-McKnight Rd. The Hampton Inn is a 107-room suite hotel with a bar sink, under-the-counter refrigerator, and microwave in every room. It offers complimentary parking, high speed internet service, and breakfast. The hotel is located less than two miles from Riverview Park. Riverview Park offers over 10 miles of hiking trails and a two-mile road biking loop. Riverview Park is highlighted by the Allegheny Observatory, an internationally recognized astronomical research institute. Public tours of the observatory are available.
