Days Inn Brockville
Sure, it's a chain but this one is especially friendly and convenient, located just off the highway and a short drive to the St. Lawrence River. The staff here is well-trained and eager to assist, and the housekeeping folk do a great job of maintaining an older property. If you need room to spread out gear, consider reserving one of the deluxe suites, with fireplace, separate sitting area, microwave and mini-refrigerator. There's free Wi-Fi in the lobby, an outdoor swimming pool and fitness room. If you spent the day ice skating, hiking or skiing, you'll welcome the on-site sports lounge with a log-burning fireplace (there's a pool table and dart board, too.)
