Tampa International Airport is five miles west of downtown Tampa, Florida, and near the east shore of Tampa Bay. Marriott Tampa Airport

This Marriott is located on the airport grounds, accessible via walkway from the third floor of the terminal. It is near walking distance of shops and car rental counters. A small swimming pool is available, as is a fitness room. The restaurants include a revolving, top-floor, full-service dining venue, and quick deli-style cart for quick meals on the go. Guests can stop by the concierge desk and get assistance with inquiries and booking for snorkeling, boating and scuba outings.

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

The outdoors enthusiast will relish this Audubon Society award-winning hotel and grounds situated bay-side on a 35-acre protected nature preserve, eight acres of which are marsh and mangroves. Located about three miles from the airport, the Hyatt offers complimentary airport shuttle, a well-equipped gym with indoor pool and sauna, waterfront outdoor pool, and whirlpool. Two tennis courts are for guest-use as well as the nature walk that winds through the grounds. Dining is available at three on-site restaurants, a casual lobby bar/eatery and a coffee bar. According to Hyatt, it can help with rentals for jet skis, kayaks, canoes, fishing, peddle-boats, bikes, snorkeling gear and children's eco-excursions.

Doubletree Guest Suites Tampa Bay

Overlooking the waters of Tampa Bay, this hotel is all-suite lodging. Doubletree offers a complimentary three-mile-area shuttle, as well as transportation to the airport. Each room is stocked with Neutrogena bath toiletries, two televisions with cable, two telephones, MP3 connectivity and in-room coffee makers, wet bar, microwave and small refrigerator. It is one mile from Ben T. Davis Beach Park, four miles to golf and approximately 20 miles from the St. Petersburg Pier. For the active individual, a 24-hour fitness center is on-site as well as the bay-side, outdoor-heated pool. Jet-ski rentals are available, as is information about the eco-exhibits at the area's Florida Aquarium and Busch Garden's Safari park.
