Grand Canyon RV Camping
Whether you are planning on hiking down into the Grand Canyon, riding a mule down or just hiking along the rim, you will need to book your accommodations well in advance, especially for the busy summer months. There are RV campgrounds on both rims of Grand Canyon National Park, in addition to the many RV campgrounds outside the park.

Mather Campground

Mather Campground is in Grand Canyon Village on Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim. Mather has 327 tent and RV sites, Only 30-foot RVs and smaller are permitted and there are no hookups. Restrooms, picnic tables and grills are on site, and pay showers are located near the campground. Mather Campground is operated by the National Park Service and is open year round. Reservations are accepted for March through mid-November.

Trailer Village

Trailer Village is near Mather Campground on the Grand Canyon's South Rim. Trailer Village has pull-through, paved sites with full hookups for RVs up to 50 feet long. Each campsite has a barbecue grill, a picnic table, cable TV, 30 or 50 amp electrical service, water and a sewage hookup. Trailer Village, operated by Xanterra Parks, is open year round and accepts reservations.

Desert View Campground

Located 26 miles east of Grand Canyon Village, on the South Rim, Desert View Campground offers 50 tent and small RV sites. There are no hookups in the campground and the maximum RV length is 30 feet. The campground has picnic tables, campfire grills, restrooms and water faucets. Desert View Campground is open May through mid-October and campsites are first-come, first-serve.

North Rim Campground

Grand Canyon's North Rim Campground has 90 tent and RV sites. No RV utility hookups are available, but there is a dump station within the campground. There are also grills, picnic tables, restrooms, coin-operated showers and a laundry. The North Rim Campground is open mid-May to mid-October and reservations are a must.
