The town of Williamsburg may be small in size, but it is big in personality. There are endless activities, including a large outdoor water park, the Cumberland River, the Cumberland Falls waterfall and Lake Cumberland. If you are lucky enough to visit Williamsburg, there are a few hotels that will probably appeal to your adventurous side.

Cumberland Inn and Museum

The Cumberland Inn and Museum is a hotel unique to Williamsburg, Kentucky. A grand entry with marble floors and a double staircase greets guests. The rooms at this hotel are well designed with amenities, including room service, coffee makers, complimentary high speed Internet and large beds. Some rooms are even equipped with full kitchens and fireplaces. The hotel restaurant, Athenaeum, serves three meals a day, and guests can also enjoy the hotel's indoor swimming pool and hot tub.

Active guests will like the fact that the hotel is situated midway between Lexington and Knoxville. Guests can hike along the nearby Sheltowee Trace Trails or enjoy whitewater rafting only 10 miles away. There are also several state parks scattered around the Cumberland Inn and Museum. All of the parks serve as ideal locations for nature-watching, afternoon picnics and biking.

Days Inn Corbin

The Days Inn Corbin is just a short six-minute drive from Williamsburg, Kentucky. Guests of this hotel enjoy easy access to Williamsburg, and are a short distance from nearby boating and fishing. The Super 8 Williamsburg is the perfect location for a traveler on a budget. Guests do not have to travel far to find a host of recreational activities to keep them busy throughout their stay. The Big South Fork Scenic Railway is nearby, as is the Corbin Valley of Parks and two local museums. Children will love the Kentucky Splash Water Park and families can adventure together on exploration excursions in local caves.
