The city of Versailles, Kentucky is located just off of the Bluegrass Parkway in an area of central Kentucky that is known as the "Horse Capital of the World." It is just a short drive away from Frankfort, the capital of Kentucky, and Louisville, the home of the Kentucky Derby. The city was founded in 1792 and is surrounded mostly by farmland and is also the home of some of the more famous horse farms in the area. The main owners of these horse farms are previous winners of the Kentucky Derby.

The Rose Hill Inn

This historic bed and breakfast was built in 1823 and has been fully restored over time to keep the original features preserved. It is located just 15 minutes away from Lexington near Kentucky Horse Park. They offer seven guest rooms, all with private upgraded bathrooms, four of the rooms have Jacuzzi tubs, and some of the rooms can accommodate a dog. Each room has high-speed Internet, candles in the bathrooms, bathrobes and homemade cookies.
