This Holiday Inn is close to Alexandria and Washington, D.C. Of its many amenities, the Holiday Inn includes a free airport and King Street shuttle, Internet access, room service, fitness center, 24-hour business center and huge meeting space. This Holiday Inn also offers wedding reception planning. Each room includes a color TV, sofa bed, in-room video games and valet service. However, some guests said they had to pay an additional fee for parking.

This Embassy Suites is near the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, U.S. Capitol and World War II Monument. It includes a complimentary breakfast, high-speed Internet, indoor pool, fitness room and complimentary shuttle. The hotel also includes an on-site restaurant, Duke's Bar and Grill, which serves lunch and dinner. The hotel was scheduled to begin renovations in fall 2009.

Unlike other hotels, this Courtyard is not near many attractions. It does, however, carry a lower price tag than its competitors. Check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out time is noon. Courtyard offers a complimentary shuttle to the local D.C. Metro rail station and evening service to Alexandria. Guests are treated with complimentary breakfasts and wireless Internet access. Pets are not allowed.
