Kyoto, Japan, is an ancient city with a wealth of history. Holiday Inn Kyoto

The Holiday Inn Kyoto is a nine-floor hotel. Each of the hotel's rooms offer tea makers, televisions, refrigerators and work desks for guest convenience. In addition to a full buffet-style breakfast each morning, the hotel offers lunch and dinner in one of the hotel restaurants that include Chinese cuisine, a Japanese sushi bar and a pasta and bread venue. There is no shortage of attractions and activities near the Holiday Inn Kyoto. Travelers can enjoy sightseeing at the Old Imperial Palace, take pictures at the Kiyomizu Temple, or travel about an hour to visit Universal Studios Japan. Tennis is a few short steps from the hotel and golfing is about 10 minutes away. As of November 2009, rooms at the Holiday Inn Kyoto were approximately $119 per night.

The Westin Miyako

The Westin Miyako has perhaps the most beautiful views of Kyoto of any other hotel in the city. The distinctive architecture of this hotel brings beauty of the outdoors inside to visiting guests. Travelers to the Westin Miyako do not even have to leave the hotel property to enjoy sightseeing from a strategic panoramic vantage point in Kyoto. The property's gardens are perfect for birdwatching, as are the nearby forest trails. Hyatt Regency Kyoto

They Hyatt Regency Kyoto is located in the very center of Kyoto and is local to many area attractions. Guests of this hotel will enjoy indoor parking, four different breakfast options, a fitness center, a hotel spa and salon, and flat-screen televisions in every room. Active travelers can tour the nearby Yogenin Temple, shop in the Nishiki Market, or take the nearby train to some of the more rural areas of ancient Kyoto for exploring. As of November 2009, rooms at the Hyatt Regency Kyoto started at $277 per night.
