Jackson, New Jersey, is a small city that is known as the Gateway to the Jersey Shore. Situated near both New York City and Philadelphia, Jackson is a place city dwellers turn to when they need a taste of the great outdoors. The city is full of museums, historical sites, parks and gardens. Aside from easy beach access, there are a number of outdoor activities in the area, ranging from horseback riding to hiking in the New Jersey Forest. Perhaps what Jackson is best known for is home-style cooking. Fortunately, there's no shortage of great restaurants in town.

Tommy's Inn at Millstone

This is a wonderful place to take the whole family or to meet with friends. It has a friendly, cozy atmosphere that lends itself to the most happiest of outings. The prices here are good for the dishes served, and the menu offers a great variety suitable for adults and for children.

Menu items include fresh salads, steaks, burgers, seafood and pasta. All of these items are made with only the best ingredients to make it a one-of-a-kind dining experience. There is also a traditional champagne brunch on Sundays. This restaurant is incredibly versatile for its purposes, so for any occasion, this could be the place to eat.

Huller's Black Forest

This family restaurant generally focuses on an American menu. It is open for lunch and dinner, offering entrees for a reasonable price for the quality of food that is given; full alcoholic beverages are also served.

Reservations are needed for larger groups of people. The staff is friendly and courteous, making the atmosphere feel relaxed and inviting. The food at Huller's Black Forest has the distinctive taste of old world cooking. The restaurant makes all of the meat products from scratch, using traditional German recipes. Casa Nova Ristorante is also a wonderful place for family outings, romantic evenings or as a place to celebrate special occasions. The menu caters to all ages, and the food is the highest quality to be found in the district.

Though the menu has so many choices, there are also specials that the waiter will inform you of as well. Casa Nova Ristorante features a number of dishes that are inspired from Southern Italy. Pasta, poultry, veal and steaks can all be found on the menu. Most customers find the escargot and the filet mignon to be particularly enjoyable.
