Casinos in Gulfport, MS

Gulfport, Mississippi, a coastal town along the Gulf of Mexico about 45 minutes from New Orleans, sustained heavy damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The disaster forced all of the area's casino resorts to close. Resorts began to reopen in 2006, and new properties continue to appear. Currently, Gulfport has one casino in addition to several in nearby Biloxi. Besides gaming, the Mississippi Gulf Coast offers outdoor enthusiasts a spectrum of opportunities for golf, water sports and sports fishing.

Island View Resort

The Island View Resort, the only casino in Gulfport proper, is located across from the beach. Each of the resort's 560 rooms features a refrigerator and flat-screen TV. Facilities include a swimming pool, 18-hole championship 6600 golf course, Emeril's Fish House restaurant and a buffet restaurant. The 83,000 square-foot casino features 2000 slots, 47 table games, a high-stakes area and a poker room.

Beau Rivage Resort and Casino

The Beau Rivage Resort and Casino, operated by MGM Mirage, is located on the waterfront in Biloxi, just east of Gulfport. All rooms at the resort include a 32-inch flat-screen TV and high-speed Internet access. The Beau Rivage also features an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and salon, an 18-hole golf course and a shopping arcade. Dining options include six restaurants and four snack bars. There are also three bars on the property. The casino features 2100 slots, a poker room, table games and a high-limit lounge.

Treasure Bay Casino and Resort

Located on the beach in Biloxi, the Treasure Bay Casino and Resort reopened in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina. The resort features four restaurants: a fine dining restaurant, tapas lounge, casual eatery and buffet. Other facilities include two bars, an outdoor swimming pool, and a shopping arcade. The casino features 800 slots and video poker machines, as well as a host of table games. The resort offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, and complimentary wireless Internet access.
