The 20 canyons and six rivers that comprise Copper Canyon provide numerous activities for adventurous travelers. Seven times the size of the Grand Canyon, the majority of tourists travel to the region via the Chepe train. You will have to specify the dates and times of travel when purchasing your train tickets, and the tickets will be issued based upon your itinerary. Make a reservation at one of the numerous Copper Canyon hotels to spend time exploring the area with an organized tour or discover the scenic area on your own by air, on horseback, in a kayak or on foot.

Divisadero Barrancas

Offering views of Urique, Tararecua and Copper canyons, the Chihuahua hotel offers more than 50 spacious guest rooms, several featuring private balconies. Posada Barrancas Mirador

Situated near the highest point of the canyon, the hotel features panoramic views of Copper Canyon. A sister property of the Rancho Hotel, the 65 luxurious rooms and suites are decorated in honor of the local Tarahumara Indian culture. Each room is equipped with a private tiled bath, two double beds and authentic furniture. Tarahumara weave and sell their baskets in front of the hotel, adding to the local flavor.
