Cozumel Hotels Near Snorkeling Sites
A popular Mexican tourist destination, Cozumel is a haven of ocean and outdoor activities. With its famous coral reefs, lagoons and jungles, such as Chankanaab National Park and Punta Sur Ecological Reserve, Cozumel has much to offer the adventurous traveler. Diving, kayaking, deep sea fishing and glass-bottomed boat rides are all popular activities, as is snorkeling. If you would like your lodging to be near one of Cozumel's popular snorkeling sites, there are several options.

El Cid

With 60 seaside rooms, El Cid is a choice hotel for snorkelers. The hotel sits right on La Ceiba Beach, where the Babieca Dive Center offers certified instructors who can take guests out snorkeling just off the coast.

Each room at El Cid contains either a queen-sized bed or a king-sized bed and sofa bed, a refrigerator, coffeemaker, ceiling fan, satellite television and a private balcony that looks out over the shoreline. There are two swimming pools on-site, the Fly High Adventures eco-park, with six jungle trails and a zip-line, a fitness center, sauna, tennis court and dive shop.

Food options at El Cid include Trattoria Da Salvatore, serving up Italian dishes, such as pizza, for lunch and dinner, and La Chopa, which serves up international fare in a waterfront dining room.
