Sandia Peak, near Albuquerque, New Mexico, is the highest peak in Cibola National Forest. It's also home to the longest tramway in the world, which takes you nearly 3 miles over canyons and mountain terrain to a mountain observation deck. Sandia Peak has over 30 miles of hiking trails and a full-service bike shop with mountain bike rentals. You'll find a few hotels in the shadow of Sandia Peak, only a few miles from the Sandia Peak Tramway and Rio Grande Nature Center State Park.
