Puerto Morelos is just 15 minutes down the road from Cancun on Mexico's Caribbean coast, also known as the Mayan Riviera. Puerto Morelos is a great base from which to explore many of the natural attractions of this part of the Yucatan peninsula, such as the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve and the Pink Flamingo Sanctuary in Rio Lagartos. The Yaax Che botanical gardens just down the coast also is a great place to go for nature walks and learn about medicinal plants and ancient Mayan lore.

Villas Clarita offers eight different accommodation options ranging from cabanas by the pool to deluxe studio apartments. Hacienda Morelos

The Hacienda Morelos is an inexpensive hotel that is located right on the beach in downtown Puerto Morelos, just a block from the center of town. The hotel has 30 rooms that are basic but clean and comfortable, many of which look right out onto the Caribbean sea. The Hacienda Morelos has a restaurant and bar on site as well as a swimming pool, and the Aquanauts Dive Adventure dive shop is located on the premises, where you can book a trip out to the reef or get certified in scuba diving.
