Hotels in Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, Alabama
The sand is white and the water is emerald green, which makes a trip to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Alabama, the perfect getaway. You'll also find top-notch restaurants and a variety of activities that range from lounging on the beach to deep-sea fishing to a trip back in time at historic Fort Morgan, considered by many to be one of the greatest examples of military architecture in the world. A plethora of hotels line the coast, including a handful of non-chain options.

Perdido Beach Resort

This Mediterranean-style, full-service resort hotel is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The property's twin towers have 346 oversized rooms, and each has its own private, outdoor balcony. There is an indoor/outdoor heated pool, a fishing pier and lighted, on-site tennis courts for nighttime play.

Phoenix All Suites West & All Suites Hotel

Two of Gulf Shores newest accommodations offer breathtaking balcony views. Each one-bedroom suite offers a private bedroom, living room area, 1 ½ baths, sofa sleeper and bunk beds for young children. There's also a fully equipped kitchen, in addition to covered parking, outdoor pool and on-site laundry facilities.

The Island House Hotel

All of this hotel's rooms face the Gulf of Mexico, and each has a private balcony. Lounge by the outdoor pool, or take advantage of 336 feet of private beach. The hotel also offers a variety of golf packages that are geared toward any one of the nine local signature courses.

Beachside Resort Hotel

Although smaller in size with only 100 rooms, this hotel offers a complimentary continental breakfast in addition to other standard amenities, such as in-room microwaves and refrigerators. But this property is probably most well-known for its third-floor outdoor pool, which overlooks the Gulf.

The Turquoise Place Resort

This is the largest and most up-to-date resort in the area. The upscale complex offers a family-oriented setting with beachfront views, an indoor/outdoor pool with underwater speakers, an outdoor lazy river, steam room and dry sauna.
