Petrosino, Italy, Cheap Hostels

Petrosino, Italy, Cheap Hostels
Trekking through Sicily, you may stumble upon the small town of Petrosino. Surrounded by history--distinctly Sicilian, Roman, Norman, Greek, and more--Petrosino is a fine hub for exploring the area on foot. Or you might want to take to the sea, against which the town sits. A number of hotel options exist in and around Petrosino--including the Hotel Baglio, the New Hotel Palace and the Hotel President.

Hotel Baglio

Consider the Hotel Baglio, located right in the heart of Petrosino. Relatively cheap (as of 2009, a night at the Baglio ran around $59), the hotel offers Internet service, its own restaurant, and free breakfast. The Baglio boasts 167 rooms, a swimming pool and a sizable fitness center. The entire complex is surrounded by palm trees and vineyards.

New Hotel Palace

You can also try the New Hotel Palace, located just minutes by car from Petrosino. Perhaps the best thing about the New Hotel Palace is the ocean view that most of its rooms offer. Aside from the view, the place offers its own restaurant and bar, a garden area, and tour services operating from Marsala to Palermo and Isole Egadi. Wireless Internet is offered throughout the New Hotel Palace. A night here, as of 2009, cost around $150 per night.

Hotel President

Another good option when exploring Petrosino is the Hotel President, situated just a few miles outside of town. The President boasts two bars--a piano bar and an "American" bar--as well as a restaurant. Its large pool (outdoor) is lit up impressively at night. A night at the Hotel President typically begins at around $75, as of 2009.
