List of all Lakes in West Texas

List of all Lakes in West Texas
Texas is divided into several geographical regions such as the Piney Woods region or Post Oak Savannah. However, there is no legal description defining a specific boundary between East and West Texas. Some call West Texas a state of mind, but most publications consider Interstate 35 the dividing line between East and West Texas. Using this definition, West Texas includes the geographical zones known as the Panhandle Plains in Northwest Texas, the Hill Country in West Central Texas, the agricultural region known as the South Texas Plains in Southwest Texas and the Chihuahuan Desert region of far West Texas that includes the city of El Paso and Big Bend National Park. The entire West Texas area is dotted with lakes, most of them man-made. A lake is defined as an inland body of water that has a normal capacity of 5,000 acre feet. One acre foot equals 325,851.429 US gallons.
