Georgetown is a neighborhood in Washington, D.C., bordered on the north by Glover Park, on the east by Rock Creek Park, on the west by Georgetown University, and on the south by the Potomac River. Named for the nation's first president, it predates the establishment of the United States, making it one of the oldest parts of the city. It also presently is one of the most fashionable and upscale enclaves, with high-end shops, restaurants and bars, and a number of exceptionally fine hotels.

The Circle Hotel is a block from George Washington University Hospital and three blocks from the famous Watergate hotel and condominium building and Rock Creek Park.
