Glacier National Park Hotels Near the West Entrance
Access to superb hiking trails make the west entrance to Glacier National Park perfect for outdoor adventure in the warmer months, while cross country skiing and snowshoeing prevail in the winter. To reach the park from the west entrance, drive through the small town of West Glacier to access the Going to the Sun Road. You'll find accommodations in the town itself, as well as two hotels offering rustic accommodations just inside the Park.

Great Northern Whitewater Resort

Located a mile from the west entrance, this hotel offers stylish family-sized or smaller chalets. Perfect as a base camp for your outdoor adventures, each chalet offers kitchens--full-sized in the larger chalets and efficiencies in the smaller chalet. Other amenities include a full bath, TV, gas grill, and upper and lower decks. The landscaped lawns feature towering trees and lots of flowers. Lake McDonald Lodge

Located 11 miles from West Glacier, this hotel is located inside the park and offers rustic but comfortable rooms surrounded by towering cedars in an inland rainforest setting. Stay in lodge or cabin rooms with on-site amenities including several restaurants, gift shop and camp store. Hike along easy woodland trails next to the lodge, or access the famous Sperry Trailhead across from the lodge or John's Lake Loop trail just up the road.

Village Inn at Apgar

Nestled among old growth cedars along Lake McDonald, this Park hotel offers rustic but comfortable rooms in cabins or the lodge.
