Alan Wong's Restaurant

Make a reservation at Alan Wong's before you catch your flight to Honolulu. Chef/owner Alan Wong's cuisine is world famous, and Gourmet Magazine ranked Alan Wong's Restaurant eighth among "America's Top 50 Restaurants." Alan Wong is truly the father of contemporary Hawaiian cuisine. In Chef Wong's own words, "It's the contemporary style of cooking in Hawaii today. It's eclectic, east--west. It utilizes all of the ethnic influences found in Hawaii today and is representative of Hawaii being called the melting pot of the Pacific." Start off the evening with an artisan cocktail at the bar, then get comfortable for an unforgettable five- or seven-course tasting menu. Appetizer highlights include butter poached kona lobster and the signature soup and sandwich--chilled tomato soup with a grilled mozzarella, foie gras and kalua pig sandwich. The twice-cooked soy-braised short ribs melt in your mouth. Catch your breath, relax and peruse the single estate coffee menu. Rare coffees are available from the Big Island, Maui, Oahu, Kauai and Molokai. Ask your server for a recommendation. Finally, crack open the dessert menu and order "The Coconut," the chocolate sampler, or the "New Wave Banana Split." Put Alan Wong's Restaurant at the top of your list when visiting Honolulu.
