Famous Restaurants in Las Vegas
After a day spent hiking Red Rock Canyon or visiting the Hoover Dam outside Vegas, return to the city that never sleeps to enjoy some of the best food on offer. Las Vegas is host to many famous restaurants, and some of the world's top chefs have set up home here. While the famous Las Vegas strip is home to most of these restaurants, a short trip off the strip also reveals some tasty offerings. Make sure to throw at least one nice outfit into your bag, however, as most of the best restaurants have dress codes.

Nobu

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa brings delectable sushi and other offerings of Japanese cuisine to the table at his Vegas namesake restaurant. Nobu Las Vegas offers Japanese fusion dishes mixed with the flavors of America and South America. The menu is ever changing based upon seasonal choices, so the options are always fresh. Located in the heart of the strip at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Nobu Las Vegas is famous for its fresh sushi and Chef Nobu's signature cod.

Aureole

Aureole is the Las Vegas restaurant of Chef Charlie Palmer. Located at the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the strip, Aureole features Palmer's impressive fresh seafood dishes. Dining at Aureole is almost a theatrical spectacle. The restaurant houses 10,000 bottles of Palmer's extensive wine collection in a giant tower. Wine angels---servers dressed in head-to-toe black---fly through the tower procuring bottles via an intricate pulley system.

VooDoo Cafe and Lounge

Just off the strip at the top-most floor of the Rio sits the VooDoo Cafe and Lounge. Serving Cajun and French Creole inspired dishes, the atmosphere is just as impressive as the food. Travel up a glass elevator to the 52nd floor of the building while enjoying the view of the strip outside. Dine inside the restaurant proper or enjoy rooftop dining in the open air.

Envy

Another off-strip delight, Envy steakhouse is the inspiration of chef Richard Chamberlain. Serving premium Black Angus steaks and prime rib, this elegant restaurant sits inside the Renaissance Hotel. Envy has won awards for both its menu and its wine list. It offers a lounge to relax in and enjoy the offerings of its wine cellars before your meal. If fine dining paired with old-fashioned meat and potatoes is your thing, Envy has both the menu and the atmosphere to satisfy.
