Top Restaurants in Atlanta

Top Restaurants in Atlanta
Atlanta, or "Hotlanta" as it is affectionately referred to by its residents, has many restaurants, a lot of which are really delicious and affordable. The best thing about food in Atlanta is that it is so diverse, from down-home Southern cooking to traditional Italian and gourmet; there is a restaurant to fit everyone's palate. The top restaurants in Atlanta are ones that provide a food experience that cannot be matched by anything you can make at home.

Best Steakhouse

Bone's Restaurant was named "the best steak house in the southeast," by The New York Times and has received rave reviews from GQ, Gourmet magazine and Atlanta Magazine. It has also been voted one of the best steak houses in the United Steaks by Zagat survey.

Bone's is fine dining at its best with a choice of seven steak and chop cuts (porterhouse, filet mignon and New York strip being among those choices). The steaks are accompanied by your choice of exquisitely tasting side dishes such as grit fritters, sautéed spinach and fresh asparagus among others. The sweet tooth at the table will not be disappointed with the wide array of deserts offered; the dark chocolate torte and crème brulee are two of the most popular options. However, what really sets Bone's Restaurant apart from other restaurants is its vast wine menu; with more than 1,000 bottles to choose from, it is a sommelier's favorite place to visit outside of a winery.

Best Brazilian

Fogo de Chao was rated one of America's best restaurants by Zagat survey and has won awards from Atlanta Magazine, the Dallas Observer and the Miami New Times.

Fogo de Chao offers a dining experience that is unique among restaurants; at the beginning of every meal you visit a gourmet salad and side bar and choose from vegetables, cheeses, meats and traditional Brazilian side dishes. Once you are done with the salad bar, a chef will bring to your table a choice of 15 cuts of fire roasted meats. The chefs will slice and serve the meats at the table and will leave the table until you let them know you are ready for more servings of meat.

Fogo de Chao is also the winner of the "Wine Spectator Magazine" Award of Excellence for eight consecutive years.

Best Southern

Carver's Grocery doesn't have a name that you would associate with one of the best restaurants in a city. But all native Atlanta members know that Carvers has the best Southern food in Atlanta. From the sweet potato casserole to the fried catfish and cornbread, the taste buds go crazy when eating the delicious meals prepared at this restaurant. The setting is similar to that of a cafeteria's, but this will be the best cafeteria food you have ever had.
