Chesapeake Bay Beach
Beachgoers can enjoy a very relaxed and placid experience at Chesapeake Bay Beach. You can swim, build sand castles or play volleyball. The beach also includes the Lynnhaven Inlet, where you have the opportunity to catch a variety of fish. Additionally, you can enjoy a vast array of plants, lagoons and much more at the First Landing State Park.
Sandbridge Beach
Sandbridge is an isolated beach near the Resort Beach area. However, there are no hotels. Sandbridge has various attractions from biking through Cape State Park to enjoying seafood at the Baja Restaurant. Also, the beach offers a three-mile kayak tour where participants have seen egrets, red-winged blackbirds and bald eagles. Lifeguards are available from mid-May until mid-September at the Sandbridge public beach.
Resort Beach
Resort Beach includes a beautiful three-mile boardwalk that features live music, festivals and nightlife. The beach also is home to the Virginia Aquarium where sightseers can view turtles, stingrays, sharks and much more. Lifeguards are available from 1st through 41st streets from May to September.
