List of American Hotel Chains
A hotel is a place where travelers stay while visiting another location. Hotels offer food, lodging, pool, fitness centers and other attractions. A hotel chain is a hotel that has established itself over several locations but is known by the same name. The Unites States is the home of many hotel chains, some of which have gained so much popularity they have gone global.

Marriott International

The Marriott International is a hotel chain that is owned by J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott. It got its start from a simple root beer stand in Washington, DC, in 1927. From there, the Marriotts went on to build one of the largest hotel chains in the United States and across the world. There are currently more than 2,200 Marriotts across the United States today, with locations in 66 other countries. The Marriott hotels go by names such as The Courtyard, Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance Hotels and the Fairfield Inn. Each hotel features many amenities for the fitness conscious, such as pools, fully equipped fitness centers, saunas and hot tubs along with high-speed Internet service and gift shops.
