Pocatello, in the southern part of Idaho, is about 115 miles west of the Wyoming border and 235 miles southwest of Boise. Attractions in and around Pocatello include Idaho State University, Lava Hot Springs, a replica of historic Fort Hall, the Idaho Museum of Natural History and Pebble Creek Ski Area. There are several reasonably priced hotels in which to stay when you visit the Pocatello area.

Red Lion Hotel Pocatello

The Red Lion Hotel is a three-star facility in the center of Pocatello's shopping and business center. It is immediately adjacent to I-15, which runs north to south through the city. Amenities include an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, on-site restaurant and bar, room service, dry cleaning and laundry services, and complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and business services. The hotel has 150 rooms, each equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, and free Internet access. Pets are welcome. Guests receive a voucher toward a free breakfast.

TownePlace is located at the south end of Pocatello, on the east side of I-15. Its amenities include a heated indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, Jacuzzi tub, complimentary newspapers in the hotel lobby, currency exchange, business services, free Internet access and a hair salon. The entire facility is handicap accessible, and the hotel has accessibility equipment for blind and deaf guests. Guests are welcome to bring their pets.
