List of Hotels in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is a high-tech, high-energy city often described as the place where East meets West. A shopping mecca and commercial hub, Hong Kong has more skyscrapers than any other city. Despite its size, it's also one of the most accessible major cities in Asia: Because Hong Kong was formerly a British colony, many residents speak English and most street signs are written in English and Cantonese. The large expat community makes it easy to see the outdoors--join the Hong Kong Trampers, a group of expat hiking enthusiasts, for a walk around Hong Kong or the surrounding provinces.

Lan Kwai Fong Hotel

Steps away from the dining and entertainment districts of SoHo and Lan Kwai Fong, the Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is also a good staging point for trips to shopping hotspot Causeway Bay. Rooms come with views of the city, mountains or Hong Kong Harbor. The hotel has a well-equipped fitness center with cardio equipment, weights and yoga mats, and an in-house masseuse or Chinese reflexology specialist can treat you in your room. If you're feeling active, meet up with the Hong Kong Ultimate Players Association for a game of Frisbee in nearby So Kon Po.

South Pacific Hotel

Housed in a modern oval-shaped high-rise with glass exterior, the South Pacific Hotel has become a Hong Kong landmark. Conveniently located next to Causeway Bay and close to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, this hotel is best suited to travelers looking to combine business with vacation time. There is a fully equipped gym, in-house doctor and tour box in the hotel. All rooms have Wi-Fi Internet, and a free shuttle bus is available to drive you around the city. Ask the concierge about classes at the Pukfulam Public Riding School, a base for Hong Kong's thriving equestrian scene. It's a short taxi ride from the hotel.

The Salisbury YMCA of Hong Kong

Forget everything you think you know about YMCAs. The Salisbury YMCA of Hong Kong is a modern luxury hotel with every fitness facility imaginable: two indoor swimming pools, a Jacuzzi and sauna, squash courts, a dance studio, even an indoor climbing wall. There's also a self-service laundry and Internet hotspot. Located on the Kowloon peninsula adjacent to the Hong Kong Space Museum, Museum of History and Museum of Art, the hotel is a one-minute walk from the "Golden Mile," Nathan Road, and an underground MTR station.
