Fun Honeymoon Destinations

Fun Honeymoon Destinations
The honeymoon is an important milestone in the life of a newlywed couple. It is the first trip the happy couple takes as man and wife. As a result, they may feel some pressure to have the best time of their lives. To increase the odds of having a fantastic vacation, choose a destination that has the most to offer a new couple by way of romance, relaxation and, most importantly, fun.

Ski Spree

For avid skiers, a honeymoon at a ski resort is a terrific way to spend your days swooshing down the slopes and your evenings cuddled up in front of a roaring fire with your sweetheart. The Berkshires in Massachusetts make for a lovely stateside resort, while globe-trekkers might enjoy the Alps in Switzerland.

Festival Fun

Festivals come in many shapes and sizes, but the element they all have in common is 24-hour fun. There is Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras in New Orleans for honeymoons in the winter and spring. In the summertime, bluegrass lovers can go wild at the Rocky Mountain Summer GospelGrass Festival every June in Calhan, Colorado. Avid film buffs can have an adventure at the Cannes Film Festival in France every spring. Whatever time of year you plan to marry, odds are there is a fun festival waiting for you somewhere in the world.

Amusement Adventure

Amusement resorts make their living entertaining those in need of a thrill. Many popular parks, such as the Disney parks in California, Florida, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo, are loaded with amazing attractions for adventurers. They even offer honeymoon packages. Other popular amusement-resort destinations are the Busch Gardens theme parks in Virginia and Florida; the Six Flags parks in California, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Canada and Mexico; and Universal Studios in Florida and California.

Vegas Baby!

You can't talk about fun without mentioning the City of Lights. Las Vegas is considered by many to be a playground for adults, with 24-hour casinos, shows, dining and other attractions. You could get so caught up in the fun that you forget the reason you came. Be sure to set aside some private time for romance.
