The Great Miami River Recreational Trail
The Great Miami River Recreational trail covers 29.5 miles near the Great Miami River and downtown Dayton, Ohio. Dayton is only 20 minutes away from Troy by car. The entire trail is paved. The trail is broken into four segments and connects with several other hiking or biking trails in the area. The original creator, Horace M. Huffman Jr. preferred the bicycle for transportation and recreation. So, the intended purpose of the trail was biking. However, the trail can easily be hiked or walked. The river and Dayton make a perfect background for the 29.5-mile trek.
Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park
