Historic Hotels & Resorts in Canada
Canada has many top notch destinations for the adventure traveler, from the Rocky mountains to the highlands of Cape Breton. But nothing is better than coming back from a long day on the trail to the style and comfort of a world-class historic hotel and relaxing in comfort. Fortunately, Canada has some absolutely beautiful, historic lodging choices that are located within or near National Parks and many other natural attractions.

The Prince of Wales

The Prince of Wales was built in 1927 right on top of a bluff that overlooks Waterton lake, inside of Waterton Lakes National Park. With 86 rooms that are furnished with antique furniture and a dining room that opens to one of the best views of the lakes and the Rockies, the Prince of Wales is a true alpine chalet. Miles of hiking trails and it's proximity to Montana's Glacier National park allow weeks of outdoor exploration opportunities. The Prince of Wales also serves a traditional British tea daily, from 2 to 4 p.m.
