3 Star Hotels on Las Vegas Strip

3 Star Hotels on Las Vegas Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is the famous name for the 3.8-mile stretch of Las Vegas Blvd. South that is lined with hotels, resorts and casinos. In addition to the dramatic architecture of the Strip accommodations, they use sights, sounds and scents, in the form of entertainment shows, adventure attractions and world-class restaurants, to draw visitors' attention to their venue. The outdoor enthusiasts will surely find adventure when staying at many of the three-star hotels on the Strip.

The Stratosphere Hotel and Tower

Soaring 1,149 feet above the ground, the Stratosphere is visible from most points on the Strip. The Stratosphere tower is the tallest building west of the Mississippi, and thrill seekers will appreciate the rides offered. You can choose from being shot straight up the tower in the Big Shot, getting spun in a massive mechanical arm at the edge of the tower in the Insanity ride, or getting propelled on a giant teeter-totter over the edge of the tower in the X Scream.

In addition to the 80,000-square-foot casino, the Stratosphere amenities include six dining options, two bars, a race and sports book, a spa, indoor and outdoor fitness centers, and two pools including an outdoor 15,000-square-foot swimming pool. The hotel also offers its visitors Internet access and airport shuttle for a fee.

Sahara Hotel and Casino

The Sahara Hotel was built in 1952 to resemble a Moroccan palace at the north end of the Strip. The hotel stands out on the Strip for its NASCAR Cafe, where race and speed fans gather to participate in the virtual-reality car races with NASCAR and Indy 500 vehicles. You can also get your adrenaline pumping riding Speed, the roller coaster, at a maximum speed of 70 mph.

The Sahara's amenities include restaurants, spa, fitness center and a 5,000- square-foot outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. The Sahara Hotel is also one of the stops for the Strip's Monorail, an elevated train system gliding at 50 mph, connecting different parts of the Strip. The hotel offers in-room Internet access and an airport shuttle for a fee.

In addition to the 77,000-square-foot casino, the Flamingo offers outdoor and bird lovers a wildlife habitat with lush foliage and more than 300 birds. Among the birds are Chilean flamingos, swans, ducks, parrots, silver pheasants, ibis, quails and cranes.

The Flamingo amenities include many dining options, spa, fitness center, a 15-acre water playground with outdoor pools and Jacuzzi, and tennis courts. The Flamingo has a concierge tour desk to help you plan your visit, and it also offers an airport shuttle and high-speed Internet access for a fee.
