The tiny Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is ideal for those wanting a small-scale resort with a boutique feel. The all-inclusive resort claims to have the best meal plan in the Virgin Islands, serving up delicacies such as filet mignon, lobster and crab with no additional surcharge for premium imported liquors. Guests who book a seven-night stay or longer also receive a free sunset cruise and snorkel excursion as part of the all-inclusive plan. Rooms are basic but include cable television and a safe. Unlike many resorts in the area, this hotel does not have any ocean-view rooms.

Found on St. John, the Caneel Bay Rosewood Resort is located inside the lush forests of the Virgin Islands National Park adjacent to seven private beaches. More than 150 rooms are available, each boasting island decor, local stonework and themed upholstery. Rooms come with either an ocean view or a view into the resort's landscaped grounds. The Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star is a part of the Marriott resort family. More than 400 rooms make this resort the largest all-inclusive destination in the Virgin Islands. Its all-inclusive plan includes meals and drinks at the resort's five restaurants and six bars, as well as free or discounted activities such as golfing. Rooms come with views of either the nearby island gardens or the aquamarine sea. For a truly luxurious stay, book a two-story royal suite that includes a massive spiral staircase and an in-suite hot tub.
