Lake Shafer's Indiana Beach Resort
On the shore of Lake Shafer in beautiful Monticello, Indiana Beach Resort started off as a swimming hole in a cornfield and has grown to be the largest vacation playground in the state. It offers RV spaces, camping, bungalows and traditional hotel rooms and includes an amusement park, water park, paddlewheel boat, miniature golf, shows and shops. It does not offer boat rentals, but nearby marinas do.

Fourwinds Resort & Marina
Indiana's Lake Monroe is home to the Fourwinds Resort and Fairfax Beach, the longest in the state. Fourwinds offers boat rentals, hiking in nearby Hoosier National Forest and Deam Wilderness area, bicycle paths at the Fairfax recreation area, an indoor/outdoor pool for year-round swimming and endless, winding trails for strolling the resort's gardens and landscaped areas.

French Lick Resort
The luxurious French Lick Resort hosts two distinctive hotels, the French Lick Springs Hotel and the West Baden Springs Hotel, the latter graced by an enormous domed atrium. Built in 1902, it has been called "the eighth wonder of the world" and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Surrounded by rooms six stories high, the atrium offers visitors round-the-clock people-watching and an inspirational glimpse into the wonders of architecture.
