Atlatl Rock Campground

The Atlatl Rock Campground is highly recommended by the RVers Online website. This RV campground is rather rustic, but it does offer power and water hookups, and it also has a small restroom and shower building available. Atlatl Rock Campground is located in the Valley of Fire State Park, and the scenery will more than make up for the lack of amenities. Hiking trails in the area feature rocks carved with ancient Indian art called petroglyphs. The campground itself is named for one petroglyph depicting a primitive weapon used to throw spears called an Atlatl.
