Experience a Lake Tahoe vacation in a luxurious mountain lodge setting at the 3 Peaks Resort. The hotel offers a cabin-style interior with pine furniture and wood paneling as well as freestanding cabins on the wooded grounds of the property available for rent. Pets are welcome at the resort although they are not allowed on the private beach located two blocks away. Nightly rates start at $84 as of October 2009.

Tahoe Seasons Resort

The Tahoe Seasons Resort is just 150 yards away from the Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort and one mile from Lake Tahoe. The hotel features a year-round heated outdoor swimming pool, shuffle board courts, tennis court and a seasonal ski rental shop. As of October 2009, room rates start at $122 for a one-bedroom suite sleeping up to four adults and $200 for a master suite which accommodates up to six adults.

Forest Suites Resort

The Forest Suites Resort is located blocks away from Lake Tahoe and within walking distance of the Lake Tahoe casinos. As of October 2009, hotel rooms start at a reasonable $69 per night with large specialty suites ranging from $159 to $379 nightly. The one- and two-bedroom suites include a full kitchen and living room to provide a comfortable setting for family vacations.

Lakeland Village is nestled on more than 17 acres of woodlands, providing privacy to the resort's private beaches on Lake Tahoe. Complimentary shuttle service is available to guests year-round as well as a fitness center and heated outdoor pool. Summertime at Lakeland Village includes tennis, beach volleyball and a complimentary kid's camp for children from ages 4 to teenagers. Lakeland Village has an on-site ski and board shop where you can rent equipment and clothing before hitting the nearby slopes at the Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort.
