List of All Hotels Near Red River, New Mexico
Red River is a tiny Taos County resort town in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Since the 1930s, tourists have flocked year-round to the town of less than 500 residents, according to the 2000 U.S. Census. Red River is a mecca for snow sports during winter months and for outdoorsy, nature-loving types during the summer. Many belong to both groups and return often year-round for the wonderful small mining town vibe that Red River exudes. Rates quoted are for the regular winter 2009/2010 season. Prices will be higher near holidays, particularly the week after Christmas and the second weekend of March (Spring Break). Summer rates are generally slightly lower than winter rates, and the cheapest months to go are April, May, October and November. Check Red River tourist and visitor websites for current specials and lists of participating hotels.
