5 Star Hotels in Walt Disney World Resort

5 Star Hotels in Walt Disney World Resort
Sometimes even the most die-hard trail rider needs to take some time to experience the finer things in life. Where better to do this than the place where everyone is a kid at heart: Walt Disney World. The resort offers plenty of options when it comes to lodging from economy to luxury. To take the best advantage of the amenities offered, five-star hotels offer the most pampering when it comes time to hang up the gear and gear up for relaxation.

Deluxe Hotels

Deluxe hotels feature many of the amenities one would expect in a five-star establishment. Guests can choose from several hotels including the Contemporary Resort, Yacht Club, Beach Club and more. As with all Disney properties, each has a theme for decorations that matches the property's name.

Deluxe hotels feature room service, fitness center and perhaps extras such as an in-house spa or beauty salon. Rooms feature DVD players or VCR/DVD combos and refrigerators.

Room types include standard rooms and two-bedrrom suites. Room rates start at about $335 per night as of fall 2009.

Deluxe Villas

Guests in Disney's Deluxe Villas will enjoy kitchens and kitchenettes in all suites. Prices here start at $325 per night, as of fall 2009. Villas also offer guests what Disney dubs the "Key to the World." This card is the guest's room key and allows for purchases to be made throughout the Disney World property.

The Wilderness Lodge and Contemporary Resort are just two of the Deluxe Villas.

Available rooms include studios, one-bedroom villas and two-bedroom villas.

Guests here will find playgrounds, pools and outdoor activities.

Other Deluxe Hotels

Both the Swan and Dolphin resorts are classified as "Other Deluxe Hotels" by Disney. These properties include many of the perks you would expect from hotels in the "Deluxe" or "Deluxe Villa" categories. Room service and in-room refrigerators are the norm here, as are recreation activities including a pool and miniature golf.

Room types range from standard to one with a balcony view. The cost per night starts at $269 as of fall 2009.
