Bahrain Air
With its main base at the Bahrain International Airport, Bahrain Air is the second flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. A good low-cost airline, Bahrain Air currently flies to 16 destinations in the Middle East, Africa and India. Still a relatively young airline, with a new fleet of modern Airbus A320s, Bahrain Air plans to increase service to 25 or more cities in the near future.
Gulf Air
With headquarters in Muharraq, Gulf Air is the main flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. With regular scheduled services to some 45 destinations in 28 different countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Gulf Air is one of the major airlines in the region. Operating out of Bahrain International Airport, Gulf Air's most popular destinations include London, Paris, Dubai and Mumbai. With roots dating back to the early 1940s, Gulf Air boasts a fleet of more than 36 Airbus and Boeing jetliners.
DHL International Aviation ME
DHL International is in fact a cargo airline. While based in Bahrain, DHL is wholly owned by the German company Deutshe Post World Net. With its main base at Bahrain International Airport, DHL in Bahrain provides branded parcel and express services throughout the Middle East, including Afghanistan and Iran. Established in 1979, DHL International's fleet consists of one Antonov AN-12 and six Boeing 727s.
