List of Airlines in Bahrain

List of Airlines in Bahrain
With its unique combination of modern liberalism and authentic Arab heritage, the Kingdom of Bahrain attracts some 8 million visitors annually. Most of them are from the surrounding Arab world, however, a growing number of westerners are finding Bahrain to be a nice introduction to the Persian Gulf. Home to castles, beaches, sand dunes and some 5,000 years of cultural heritage, Bahrain is an excellent destination for travelers. Knowing how to get there is the first step.

Bahrain Air

With its main base at the Bahrain International Airport, Bahrain Air is the second flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. A good low-cost airline, Bahrain Air currently flies to 16 destinations in the Middle East, Africa and India. Still a relatively young airline, with a new fleet of modern Airbus A320s, Bahrain Air plans to increase service to 25 or more cities in the near future.

Gulf Air

With headquarters in Muharraq, Gulf Air is the main flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain. With regular scheduled services to some 45 destinations in 28 different countries across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Gulf Air is one of the major airlines in the region. Operating out of Bahrain International Airport, Gulf Air's most popular destinations include London, Paris, Dubai and Mumbai. With roots dating back to the early 1940s, Gulf Air boasts a fleet of more than 36 Airbus and Boeing jetliners.
