Top Restaurants in Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara, California, is a picturesque, mid-sized city that is bordered by the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the rugged Santa Ynez Mountains. With so many outdoor sports available, including mountain climbing, hiking, surfing and sailing, it's fairly easy to work up an appetite in "America's Riviera." Because Santa Barbara is a popular tourist destination, it's easy to fall into some tourist traps. But not to worry, there are plenty of restaurants that are the locals' best-kept secrets.

Bouchon Santa Barbara

Nestled in a quiet side street of State Street, Bouchon ( French for wine cork) combines fresh, local ingredients with a French and Californian twist. With a relaxing, understated ambiance, Bouchon offers pepper-crusted venison, warm sweet onion & blue cheese tart and much more for the food enthusiast. An excellent wine list featuring wines from the Santa Barbara area also awaits you at Bouchon. Be sure to take a peek inside the private dining area--the entire ceiling is made from wine corks, of course.

Chef John Trotta offers Maine lobster, roasted rack of lamb, and carnaroli risotto in the restaurant that Diner's Choice named as one of the top 50 restaurants in the United States and the hotel that Forbes Traveler calls America's Best Hotel.
