Aviasca is a small, Mexico-based airline that flies primarily to 17 major airports within Mexico from Mexico City as well as Las Vegas. Aviasca, used primarily by residents of Mexico, offers several AviascaPasses that allow you to receive a free flight for every four or five tickets purchased. Volaris is another small Mexican airline that mostly offers short flights within Mexico from its hub in Monterrey, although it does also serve Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. Aviasca flies to small airports that are close to cultural treasures, like Urupan, which is close to lake Patzcuaro, an ecological and archaeological treasure in the little-known state of Morelia. Like Aviasca, Volaris is primarily used by Mexicans. Unlike Aviasca, the website is in English and allows you to book a ticket online as well as offers an interactive map of destinations.

Interjet is a domestic Mexican airline that operates out of Mexico City and Toluca, a city about 40 miles south of Mexico City. The carrier flies to several state capitals such as Guadalajara, Merida and Monterrey. Interjet offers some great deals on air plus hotel packages through its Spanish language only website that is designed for Mexican natives but can be used to book low-cost, quality accommodations by smart adventure travelers.

Vivaaerobus is another Mexican airline that offers dozens of domestic flights as well as international trips to and from Las Vegas. Vivaaerobus offers a air plus bus service called ViajaFacil that lets you book flights and bus trips together to many smaller towns in Mexico that are close to outdoor destinations. It also offers bus shuttle service between Cuidad Juarez and El Paso, Texas.
