Top Canada Train Trips
When looking for a new way to view the great country of Canada, consider taking a cross-country Canada train trip. These trips give you the time to view the country at a leisurely pace while still being able to see all of the scenery that Canada has to offer. You'll be able to dine, sleep and visit among some of Canada's best tourist sites, like the Rockies, Toronto, Banff and Victoria. Canada's rolling prairies and majestic mountains are best experienced while on a train trip through the country.

Trans Canada Rail Journey

Run by VIA Rail, this all-encompassing train journey takes you from the urban city streets of Toronto all the way to the seas of Victoria. This trip lasts 11 days and makes stops in Niagara Falls, Winnipeg, Jasper, Banff and Victoria. Your train, aptly called "The Canadia," is equipped with everything you could possibly need for an 11-day excursion, including knowledgeable train guides who are happy to point you toward gorgeous views and interesting stops along the way.

Explorer's Circle West Rail Journey

Another VIA Rail excursion, this one teams with Rocky Mountaineer to bring you two trains to help you see the sights across Alberta and British Columbia. You'll get to travel to Jasper and stop in Banff, taking a whole day to explore. You'll also have a chance to see the famed Columbia Icefields as you enter British Columbia. This four-day adventure gives you just enough time to see all that the great Canadian West has to offer.

Deluxe Rockies Rail Journey

This VIA Rail journey gives you the opportunity to enjoy two trains as you explore Jasper, Banff and the Columbia Icefields. After seeing the sights at these idyllic locations, you'll then get on a new train that will travel the historical Canadian Pacific Railway as you cross the Continental Divide and learn about the history at Kicking Horse Pass. You'll enjoy the sights as you pass through the Canadian Rockies, seeing vineyards and orchards as you make your way to Vancouver for one last night on the town, sampling regional cuisine in Vancouver's best restaurants.

Western Explorer Rail Journey

The five-day Western Explorer Rail Journey gives vacationers and adventure seekers a taste of the true Canadian West. You'll begin your trip at the West Edmonton Mall, the largest mall and one of the biggest attractions in Canada. It features over 800 stores and shops, an entirely indoor amusement park, water park and ice rink, as well as sea life shows for all to enjoy. You'll then board a VIA Rail train to make your way to locations like Jasper, the Athabasca Glacier on the Icefields, Banff, Fraser Canyon, and finally ending your adventure in Vancouver. The trip is a must for those who love mountains, wildlife and perfect scenery.

Canadian Rockies Circle Rail Journey

For those who want to see and explore all of the Canadian Rockies, an 11-day trip through this mountainous region aboard a VIA Rail train is your perfect excursion. Beginning in Vancouver, rail riders will then travel to Kamloops to explore Fraser Canyon. From there, the train moves to Jasper and Banff, as well as an overnight stay at Lake Lousie, where you'll enjoy complimentary canoeing and a stay at the luxurious Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Enjoy a breathtaking Icefields Parkway Tour to top your trip off.
